EMIR, European Parliament approves agreement reached with EU Council

24/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – At a plenary session of the European Parliament on Wednesday 24 April, MEPs approved (448 votes in favour, 122 against, 20 abstentions) the revision of the EU rules governing market infrastructures (EMIR), as provisionally agreed in early February between negotiators from the European Parliament and the EU Council (see EUROPE B13345A24).
