Parliament green lights appointment of Germany’s Karen Braun-Munziger to ‘Single Resolution Board’

24/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 23 April, the European Parliament approved by a large majority (435 votes in favour, 105 against, 49 abstentions) the appointment of Germany’s Karen Braun-Munziger as a member of the ‘Single Resolution Board’ (SRB), the European authority responsible for resolving large failing banks within the eurozone banking union. Ms Braun-Munziger’s term of office will be five years. (MB)
